Impression:
It was very excruciating for me to watch this show. The quality is BAAAAD. It looked old. The story really has potential though. The character designs are very unique, but it’s just the way they’re drawn… oddly sometimes that bothers me. The thriller scene really became comedy because I laughed so hard at how Alice looked with all those bad shadings. More like a wooden doll choking Oz. Gilbert looked so stupidier than in the manga in here. Funny facial expressions for comedic relief? What’s that? I cried so much watching how horrible that was.
Horrible production or just scary dolls? Both.
So what happened in the first episode? Only Oz, Gilbert and Oz’s loli sister running around that I forgot what else had happened. Oh, and there’s the awesome Alice, who seemed to get ruined later by the horrible production. What I only liked in here is the music. At least the OP and ED was mainstream and they’re quite catchy in some way.
She turned into wood or just bad shading? Err I don’t know either.
But till, going back to this episode, it’s too slow and boring for me. What’s worse is that it’s accompanied with that poor production. It’s really a miracle that I survived watching this one. Perhaps I should just stick to the manga instead.

I almost fell asleep on my keyboard watching this. (Physco kitty and nursemaid was the best part).
Everyone says the manga is really good. Maybe I’ll read that instead. Especially since Yen Press picked it up.

Wow basing on the pictures, it looks really old (and old that means HORRIBLE)… Kind of disappointing though compared to the promo art.. I guess I should start to pick up the manga.

Agrees. Quality was horrible and Xebec sucks for ruining such an awesome manga on the very first episode. And the promo showed such promise, too. Wtf? -_-#
Ugh, and Alice, who was suppose to get the best character design, got the worst I’ve seen in ages.
I’m still going to watch it, though. So I can :zsnap: it around while comparing it to the manga.
